”Fonofest” – party with a wide musical programme
The bands, which will play at “Fonofest” are known and they will make sure that 27th and 28th June in the district of Cēsis in “Uplandi” will be “A party all week long” (one of the festivals slogans promises it).
Similar to the previous years, the epicentre of the festival is going to be The Main Stage. Many bands from Latvia and from other countries will perform on it. Only the headliners of the second day are revealed - the German band Deadlock. Band has started to work on their second album so this summer they are offering only some exclusive performances. Dessert for hardcore admirers is going to be Grace Will Fall – a band from Sweden. They will perform on Saturday. This will be their only show in Latvia. What is more, we have to add two Finnish bands – New Deadline (they will play on Saturday) and Endrive (they will play on Friday). Los Nipples from Slovakia and Spichki from Lithuania have also affirmed their part at “Fonofest”.
Despite the fact that about the Friday’s headliners organizers are being quiet, they promise that there will definitely be some surprises. Till then it is worth planning the visit of “Fonofest” because of the Latvian bands. On Friday Astron’n’out, The Lucky Gang, Enhet, 9 Horizon performances will be breathtaking. Trendkill Method, S.I.L.S., Tesa, All Day Long, Cacophonics, Kriegopfer, Voiceks Voiska and Backflow will perform on Saturday.
On The Small Stage you will see the bands which applied themselves. They are Collide, Versus, Intricate, Angervoice, Guerilla Habits, Thursday 12th, Screampiece, Sandtrout, Seborrhea, Lassie the Cat, No More Rock Stars from Estonia and others.
In the Shark Dj tent you will have the possibility to move and to dance to the good old and new experimental songs. So it is clear that “Fonofest” offers something for everyone.
Sport’s activities will also be available - the traditional beach volleyball, football, paintball and also something new like archery. All people who will be interested will have a possibility to participate in the creative studio “Shitart”.
Of course, the tent city, free parking space, feeding places, a place where to put your valuable belongings and information centre will be in the territory of “Fonofest”.
We have to agree to another festival’s motto: “The year starts with “Fonofest”!”
