A month before opening, Fonofest reveals the history and the idea of the festival and announces the only audio-visual Toms Grēviņš' solo DJ show in the scope of summer festivals.

DJ Toms Grēviņš, who will perform at Fonofest on the big stage for the sixth year and third time, promises surprises the audience will never have seen: "It's time to hold the best party that has ever been seen in a festival in Latvia! I will take along to Fonofest astonishing light fittings, video projections specially designed only for this show and an army of robots! Nothing from what you will see and hear will be repeated in any other place or time, which is why I hope that at the night of July 8 the craziest party animals will reach the right destination at the right time - "Fonofest " 2011!"

For a period of seven years the organisation of the festival has been a great challenge for a small group of the youth of Cēsis. Fonofest is growing and developing naturally. Due to the work of the organisers of the event that has been carried out from year to year based only on their own acquired experience, Fonofest may be regarded as the result of the hobby of determined youth that has become a stable summer value at the same time. For the first time the festival offers to gain an insight into the process of its making and history, as well as to get to know the people who create Fonofest they way it is

It has already been reported that Fonofest will take place already for the seventh time at the 8th and 9th of July 2011 in Cēsis county, Uplandi. More than fourty bands from 9 different countries will perform on the main stage, on Radio101 stage and on the rock stage: "Frank Turner" (UK), "Dzelzs Vilks", "Pienvedēja Piedzīvojumi", "GACHO", "Pete Anderson & The Swamp Shakers", "Musiqq", "Inokentijs Mārpls", "The Burning Hell" (Can), "Cilice" (Nl), "Schizma" (Pl), "Sanctimony". Dancing will be provided by the most well-known local DJs: Toms Grēviņš, Arturs Mednis, Artis Dvarionas un "Crystal Sound System".

The tickets are available for 15 Ls in all ticket trading company's "Biļešu Serviss" points of sale (parking space and tent site included).
